Cleaning performance at Mullae Station

At 2pm on April 9, 2015, members and staff of the social enterprise Salad head to Mullae subway station with cleaning tools. Just for art work.

Under the direction of employee Jihye, members Lorna and Uruna are putting on a cleaning performance at a subway station, a public space.

This is because Boss Park Kyong Ju gave instructions to the staff and members to do public work such as cleaning public spaces during times when there are no performances or special duties in the office.

An artist to work. Working 8 hours a day.

“Can an artist’s creative activity really count as 8 hours of office work?”

Under these social questions, it is a kind of social performance that emerged from the concerns of Boss Park Kyong Ju, who is also an artist herself.
