ASIAN CREATIVE MUSICAL SERIES Ⅷ_Myanmar

social enterprise salad (founder & ceo: park kyong ju) has produced one multicultural creative musical series (concept: park kyong ju) every year that introduces asian culture since 2011 with production support from the shinhan bank social contribution fund. the asian cultures introduced through the asian musical series so far are nepal, china, the philippines, mongolia, vietnam, and indonesia, india, and myanmar. over the past seven years, these works have visited national and public institutions across the country, met more than 100,000 audiences, and communicated with korean society to respect each other’s culture and understand differences in a multicultural society in an era of 2 million immigrants. salad is made up of various ethnicities and nationalities. for eight years, the playwright park kyong ju and music composer gil hizon accepted each other’s roles and personal backgrounds while negotiating and collaborating to perfect salad’s own way of expressing multiculturalism.

The creative musical tells the story of conflict and harmony experienced by Ara, a second-generation Mongolian multicultural family, Chimin, an immigrant child from Myanmar, teacher Karajan, who only insists on classical music, and Youngsuk, an honor student who knows nothing but competition, while preparing for the National Music Competition together. deal with Through the work, the civic consciousness and attitude that should be possessed in a multicultural society are naturally educated through performances.

In the music room, which became the main stage of the work, actors actually played instruments from various countries, and the process of creating a piece was naturally included in the performance. The theme song, the Myanmar folk song ‘Hand in Hand’ and traditional myanmar dance stimulate the sensibility of the audience.

하롱뚜뚜'( 미얀마어로 ‘손에 손잡고’)은 미얀마 아세안 게임의 개막식 축제에서 사용된 음악의 제목이다.

뮤지컬 내용은 몽골 다문화가정의 ‘아라’와 미얀마 이주민 자녀 ‘지민’이 같은 반 친구들과 음악경진대회를 준비하며 겪게 되는 갈등과 화해의 이야기로 우리 주변의 다문화가정 친구들이 ‘다름’이 아닌 ‘하나’라는 메시지를 담고 있다. 작품의 메인 무대가 된 음악실에서는 배우들이 실제로 여러 나라의 악기를 연주했고, 작품이 만들어지는 과정이 자연스럽게 공연에 녹아들었다. 주제가인 미얀마 가요 ‘손에 손잡고’과 미얀마 전통춤이 관객의 감성을 자극한다.
